Blog as Learning Station

Hello fellow Edtec 440 students! This entry uses a (brief) podcast on my blog as a learning station for grade 2 ESL students who are learning to distinguish between homophones. It is designed to be used with a paper and pencil worksheet because I think (at least for now) that this is the easiest way to keep track of who has been to which station. My idea is to have different student computers, each set up with a different blog entry. The students (I've never had a group larger than 6 at a time) would rotate between the computers/stations.Different stations would have different links--some to games, some to a paragraph correction exercise. I'm also thinking that the blog could be used as a way to make up missed activities, especially when the activity involves listening. In making the podcast, I learned how imperfect my diction can be. Before I would actually use this in class, I would, first of all, make my podcast at least 3 minutes long, and secondly make sure I do NOT slur the word listening!
